LA Tax Hub (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website and related services (collectively, the “Services”) that provide general educational information and tools about Los Angeles area property taxes. We are not a government agency. See our FAQ for more context.

It applies whether you browse public pages, use tools that store data only in your browser, or use optional features that create an account or sign-in session (for example, team-only areas, chat, or other authenticated workflows we may add over time).

You provide directly

• Account credentials: If you create an account, we collect information you submit (for example, email address and authentication secrets processed by our systems). If you choose Google sign-in, Google’s sign-in flow applies and may share profile-related tokens or claims with us as part of authentication.
• Content and activity: If we offer collaboration features (for example, chat, shared reference materials, or uploads), we process the content and metadata needed to operate those features.
• Payments (when enabled): If you donate or pay for services through a processor such as Stripe, payment information is handled by the processor; we receive limited transaction-related data needed to fulfill the payment and maintain records.

Collected automatically

• Technical and usage data: Like most websites, our hosting and application providers may log data such as IP address, device/browser type, timestamps, and requests. We may use this information for security, debugging, reliability, and to understand aggregate usage.
• Cookies and local storage: We may use cookies or similar technologies for session continuity, preferences (such as theme), and security. Many public tools are designed to store inputs locally in your browser; that data stays on your device unless you use a feature that explicitly syncs to our systems.

Those providers process data on our behalf to run the Services.

We operate from the United States. If you access the Services from other regions, you consent to the transfer and processing of information in the U.S. and other jurisdictions where we or our providers operate.
